The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland turns 100 years old! Engineers have been building present environment and society and are also strongly molding the future. Events and happening in the anniversary year 2019 are organized for breaking traditional perceptions about engineers and recalling that engineering is visible in all areas of life. One of the main events in the anniversary year is a six-part concert tour named Creating the future and all its proceeds are donated to support the well-being of Finnish children and young people.
Over forty events with six different themes will be organized around Finland in the anniversary year. Besides the main theme, Creating the future, events have been assembled under five themes: Fall in love with engineer, Becoming an engineer, Family and feelings, Challenge and the Wind of history.
Hopefully, every member of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland finds a pleasant way to join and enjoy the anniversary year!

We Foundation has been chosen as a partner of the charity concert tour. The Foundation works to reduce social inequality and exclusion of children, young people and families in Finland. Proceeds and sponsorships of anniversary year charity concert will support We-school program that aims to ensure that every student will have enough support for schooling and the preparedness (/skills) for post-comprehensive education and employment – for a good everyday life.
We believe that supporting the Foundation is excellent way to ensure Finland has diverse experts and problem solvers – engineers – building the well-being for the upcoming generation also in the future.
