Employment and Law
Employment law information brings together the key aspects related to the life cycle of an employment relationship – from signing the contract to retirement – and provides practical guidance for both employees and employers on topics such as probationary periods, pay, working hours, annual leave, and family leave.

Termination of employment contract
An employment contract valid until further notice primarily ends through termination by either party, the termination taking effect once the period of notice has expired. In addition, an employer is required to give legal grounds for the termination.

Family leaves and other absences
Employees are entitled to family leave. For certain types of leave, the right is linked to a corresponding benefit paid during the leave, but for example, the right to parental leave for childcare (such as unpaid childcare leave) is defined differently.

Taking up entrepreneurship
In addition to the actual business idea, becoming an entrepreneur requires a lot of investigate work. A person can become an entrepreneur not only by establishing their own company, but by acquiring an already operating company, or by becoming a partner or shareholder in another company.

Working abroad
Working abroad is often beneficial: language skills improve, networks expand, and the employee gets to know different working cultures while developing their own know-how. Work experience gained abroad may also help people to start a new career back home.
