Blended learning
Blended learning students are an important part of the Union community. How could you further your professional development and networking? You can join the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland already while you are studying. Get to know all the Union’s services and benefits and make the most of your membership!
Blended learning implementation
Blended learning combines different studying methods. The students usually have classroom or face-to-face teaching only a couple of times a month, and even these can be substituted by remote lectures, independent studying or group work. Hybrid learning makes it easier to fit together studying and e.g. working. It also enables more people to achieve the education or profession that they want.
Is blended learning the right fit for you?
Blended learning offers a flexible and modern way to study — combining the best of online and in-person learning. It’s especially well-suited for students who:
- Want to balance studies with work and can’t attend traditional daytime classes
- Have family responsibilities that limit their availability for full-time study
- Are professional athletes or have other time-intensive commitments
- Live far from the campus or prefer to study remotely
- Value the freedom to plan their own study schedule and make time for other priorities
With blended learning, you can tailor your studies to fit your life — without compromising on quality or goals.
What does it take to be a blended learning student?
Independent studying is a big part of blended learning and students must be motivated and able to set their own schedules and structure for the studies. Usually, the students graduate at the same pace as daytime students or even quicker.
As a blended learning student, it is worth taking part in student activities and network with other students if possible!
