Scholarships for engineers

Insinöörisäätiö encourages the Union members to engage in competence development

Insinöörisäätiö grants scholarships to the members of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland for competence development. The goal of the scholarships is to encourage members to develop their skills during their careers. Scholarships can be applied for on the basis of a completed an education or a course or postgraduate degree. Scholarships are not awarded for a basic degree or university degree.

You can apply for a scholarship if you have completed education that supports competence and employment in the field of technology. Examples of such education include:

• Master’s degree from a university of applied sciences
• Specialist vocational qualification
• An education or course not leading to a degree
• Other justified competence or training module
• The scholarship can be applied for on the basis of education completed between August 1, 2025 and October 31, 2026. In 2026, the value of the scholarship is €600.
• The applicant must be a member of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland who has fulfilled their membership fee obligations. The scholarship is not granted to student members or pensioners, nor is it granted for university degrees or university of applied sciences basic degrees (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering).
