The Union of Professional Engineers in Finland joins Akava’s walkout

Akava, the Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland, has decided to organise a walkout on Tuesday 6.2.2024. Akava has told more about the subject on its website.

Insinööriliitto, The Union of Professional Engineers, will participate in the action of its central organisation. The engineers’ union will involve its members working in the private sector throughout the country, including universities and universities of applied sciences.

This is a political demonstration and participation is a decision of the individual.

The Akava website contains information about the walkout, including frequently asked questions and answers about the action.

Events related to the marches will be held in Helsinki, Tampere and Turku. You can register via forms according to the city: Helsinki, Tampere and Turku .

The marches are part of Akava’s protest against the government’s labour measures. Akava has tried several times to start genuine negotiations on the issues, but they have not been initiated.
