Insinööriliitto recommends participation in the demonstration on 1.2.

The Board of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland recommends that its members take part in a joint demonstration by employees. The Stop now! demonstration will take place at the Senate Square in Helsinki on Thursday 1 February from 12-14.

The demonstration will protest against the government’s unilateral and unagreed weakening of working conditions in working life.

Participation in the demonstration is voluntary for members and will be on their own time. The union recommends participation.

Members can take part in other strikes

If an union’s member is involved in industrial action organised by other unions from 1-2 February 2024 and decides to participate, the Engineers’ Union will pay a strike allowance. The strike allowance is 80 euros.

The allowances can be applied for after the strikes through the union’s system.
