Staff representatives have two especially important roles to play among their many duties.
They represent their personnel in all matters related to work, such as co-determination negotiations, local agreements, EWC representation, and so on.
The Act on Co-determination in Enterprises defines the second most important role for the personnel representatives. They must, in agreement with the employer, develop the company’s activities, and the ability of employees to influence company decisions concerning their work, working conditions, and position in the company.
